David Jones Fashions on the Field
to bring prestige to Magic Millions
David Jones will host this year’s Fashions on the Field at the BMW Magic Millions Race Day on Saturday 9th January 2010 at the Gold Coast Turf Club. The who’s who of Australian racing will be at the 2010 BMW Magic Millions Carnival & Race Day, setting the scene for a day filled with the colour and glamour that only a summer racing carnival can provide.
Entrants for David Jones Fashions on the Field will be vying for the David Jones Most Stylish Female race-goer and Most Stylish Male race-goer, which will be nationally televised on Channel Nine. Also announced on the day will be the inaugural Paspaley Magic Millions Style Hall of Fame Award.
The event will be judged by a number of reputable fashion authorities from David Jones, Paspaley, and Harpers Bazaar and will be MC’d by prominent racing fashion authority Kate Waterhouse.

Winners of David Jones Fashions on the Field's - Most Stylish Female Race-goer will receive a shopping spree to the value of $4000 including their own private Stylist for the day and the David Jones Most Stylish Male race-goer will receive a $4000 gift card from David Jones.
KEY TIMINGS for David Jones Fashions on the Field Saturday, 9 January 2010
11am – 12.30pm: Fashions on the Field Registration.
Those wishing to enter in the judging for David Jones Fashions on the Field must register at the Preliminary Judging Area, the Fountain Lawn, Gold Coast Turf Club between 11am and 12.30pm on race day.
12.30pm – 2pm: Preliminary Judging.
Preliminary judging will occur at the Fountain Lawn Area Gold Coast Turf Club starting at 12.30pm. Each registered contestant will be given a registration number and will parade in front of a panel of judges.
2:45pm – Fashions on the Field Finals
Held in the Paspaley Marquee area, trackside, the ten female and ten male finalists will vie to catch the eye of our judging panel while parading in front of the VIP tent members.
3pm – Winners of Fashions on the Field Announced
Kate Waterhouse will announce the winners of David Jones Fashions on the Field at the David Jones Fashions on the Field Stage, which will be broadcast on Channel Nine.
Channel Nine Broadcast details
Cameron Williams will host Channel Nine’s racing coverage throughout the day and will broadcast David Jones Fashions on the Field with special fashion and racing commentary by Emma Freedman.
Racing expert Simon O’Donnell and Wayne Harris will provide in depth coverage from the track, supported by Jo McKinnon and Anthony Mither.
